Chief Sir (Dr) Victor Umeh OFR on Saturday 7th January, 2017 paid homage to HRM Eze Enugwu-Ukwu na Igwe Umunri, Sir Ralph Obumneme Ekpeh, Okpalanakana Ukabia Nri IV on the ‘59th Ịgụ-Arọ Festival’ of Enugwu-Ukwu na Umunri. Chief Umeh who is a member of the Enugwu-Ukwu Royal Cabinet and goes by the title “Ekwueme Enugwu-Ukwu na Umunri" joined the jubilating crowd to felicitate with the reputable monarch.
The event featured the conferment of honorary chieftaincy titles to celebrated individuals including the former governor of Bayelsa, HE Timipre Sylva; Chief Chukwuma Innocent (C.E.O Innoson Group of Companies); Dr Mrs Chinwe Ndubuisi (Adakaibe Enugwu-Ukwu na Umunri) and the member representing Anaocha, Dunukofia and Njikoka Federal Constituency, Hon Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo conferred with ‘Onye-Ndozi Nwachinemere' of Enugwu-Ukwu na Umunri.
Chief Victor Umeh felicitating with the traditional ruler prayed God to bless his reign and as also to grant him long life and good health. He described Igwe Ralph Ekpeh as a people oriented leader who's concern is priorly about the welfare of the masses.
On his part, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, HE Dr Nkem Okeke (Ugogbuzuo Enugwu-Ukwu na Umunri) representing the Executive Governor of Anambra State, HE Chief Dr Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano (Akpokuedike) reassured the people of government's commitment towards improving their welfare and the overall development of the state.
There were lots of performances by social and cultural troops including masquerades while the people continued to cheer at their Choice Senator, Chief Dr Victor Umeh, they embraced him and frowned at the delay of his mandate, reassuring him of their unwavering support any time any day.
