Career is an occupation undertaking for a significant period of a person’s life and with opportunities for progress. Also can be defined as an occupation or profession especially one that requires training, follows as one’s work throughout one’s life time.

It can also be defined as a person’s progress or general course of action throughout a phase of life, as in some profession or undertaking.

Oxford English dictionary defines career as a course or progress throughout life, a working aspect of individual’s life.

See if your school has a career office library of books describing different kinds of work, the typical qualifications needed and the salary ranges for various occupation .Your college career counselors should be able to help. Also talk to people through information interviews, and try out careers by taking internship or part time jobs. The more career planning that you can do as a student, the better prepared you will be when you start to look for your first jobs.

Step three: The third part of how to choose a career is to sort out your priorities for your career. You might learn you don’t want to be in an office environment, or you might out your interest. Whatever you it is you learn about yourself you are making importance discoveries. That will help you choose a career when the time comes.
